Nexton is a very popular community for people looking to move to the Charleston area.  Due to its location and proximity to Interstate 26, it is more convenient for traveling than many other popular neighborhoods (Cane Bay, Summers Corner, etc) in Summerville.  One of the most popular things about Nexton is its mixed-use space and its proximity to many great restaurants and attractions.   Nexton has a lot of great places to eat, including the Halls Chophouse, Taco Boy, and many other great bars and restaurants in Nexton Square, just off of Highway 17 and Interstate 26 (close to the Brighton Park neighborhood and Downtown Nexton).  Nexton also has two 55+ Communities, at Del Webb Nexton and Hammock Walk.  

Many of the homes in Nexton are “Low Country” or Charleston Style Homes, influenced by Charleston Architecture (double front porches or piazzas, large front porches, wrap-around porches, etc), so if this is what you’re looking for, Nexton may be a good option for you.  Nexton does have smaller lots on average than many other popular neighborhoods, but many people like the homes for their aesthetic appeal.

In General, North Creek Village is the more affordable area to live, but it will be further away from the shops and restaurants at Nexton Square. However, it will be very close to the restuarants, Publix Grocery Store, and other shops on Highway 176.
